Top 100 most innovative SMEs of 2014
The list of the 100 most innovative entrepreneurs in the Dutch SMEs is available. This list was published on Monday, May 12th in the NRC Handelsblad. On Wednesday, June 11th this years rankings will be published. The presentation of the ninth SME Innovation Top 100 takes place at the headquarters of Mercedes-Benz in the Netherlands.
A selected group of journalists, entrepreneurs, consultants from the Chamber of Commerce, innovation consultants and policy makers are involved as innovation scouts for the SME Innovation Top 100. Through their work and understanding of what is happening in SMEs, they nominate candidates for this annual award.
In March, expert panels for the different sectors judged the nominations on impact for the industry and society, originality and availability. An innovation without turnover cannot be nominated for an assessment and only businesses registered at the Chamber of Commerce can be nominated.
After the pre-selection, the national jury will determine the ranking of the SME Innovation Top 100 of 2014. The jury consists of businesswoman of the year Scarlett Kwekkeboom-Janse, innovation expert Joris Craandijk, investor Bart Stomphorst, journalist Jan Meeus (chief economics NRC), Lector Frans van der Reep (In Holland) and Ruud Koornstra (Tendris). The jury bases their decision on the nominations of experts, the submitted intake forms and desk research.
